Two years after the publication of the Macleans article "Too Asian" this collection was published as an examination of the controversy. My contribution was an allegory that I used at the time to explain how to understand the legacy of the past in the present. The "Parable of the Textbook" was excerpted and published in The Tyee on September 15, 2012.
